How we work with you

We provide mobile physiotherapy to bring services wherever you need them most. Assessing your skills in your everyday environment helps us to utilise the areas you live, work and play in so you can continue with activities after our session. We can educate your family or support workers regarding activities that you can do in between our sessions with you. We can also help with equipment needs that you have, and are skilled in assessment of simple and complex equipment and completing funding applications.
We tailor our services to be relevant to activities in your 1Life.

We provide Aquatic physiotherapy services in your own pool, or a local pool near to you.  All our therapists have attended a Hydro Rescue Course to be able to support you and ensure your safety in water.  We bring our Hydrotherapy equipment with us to ensure you have all you need to go through your supported activities with us.  We can assist with pool access options and assessment of your activities in the pool.  We can provide regular sessions, blocks of sessions and also provide a program for you to work on by yourself or with those who support you.  We can help you to identify and purchase the right pool equipment that you need.

We utilise our skilled therapy assistants to be able to deliver regular cost-effective sessions where required. Therapy Assistants are trained allied health professionals who are able to work without supervision of a therapist. They are able to deliver quality supports and are directed by the physiotherapists and frequently liaise with them regarding progress and changes required to your program.

We can use Telehealth options when we can’t get to you, or you would prefer not to have visits in person. It’s a great way to stay in touch and for us to be able to observe how you are going, review your activities and support you. We value the time we spend with you and want to do what we can to help you achieve your goals even when we’re not in the same room. Telehealth is also a great way for your family, support workers and team to communicate and share information with you together.

Groups are a great way for people with similar challenges and needs to work together in a supportive environment.
We are currently starting a Parkinson’s group and floating the idea of a Parkinson’s in the Pool group. Please let us know if you are interested in these »
We are also able to offer LSVT BIG to our participants. This is an intensive, amplitude focused physical and occupational therapy approach that has
documented improved ratings on tests of motor functioning in people with Parkinson disease following treatment.

LSVT BIG is a standardized treatment protocol, which is customized to the unique goals of each patient including both gross and fine motor skills. LSVT BIG can be adapted or progressed in order to meet each patient’s needs across a range of disease severity and presenting impairments.

LSVT BIG treatment consists of:

  1. 16 sessions: 4 consecutive days a week for 4 weeks
